GANGTOK, 17 Oct: A meeting of SDF party’ women’s wing, the Cheli Morcha, of Upper Tarpin was convened a meeting on 15 Oct chaired by Shova Pradhan, informs a press release issued by the SDF general secretary [publicity], TN Sharma.
The meeting resolved to reach relief and assistance to the earthquake affected at Tarpin, document their woes, offer counseling and update them on the relief and rehabilitation initiatives of the State government.
Also on the day, 12 members of the Cheli Morcha including Ms. Shova raised a sum of Rs. 65,000 and contributed it towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, the release adds.
