NAMCHI, 18 Oct: Namchi Municipal Council today distributed cash relief to earthquake victims of the town. A total of Rs 26.64 lakhs was distributed to 557 households of the area covering major, minor and partially damaged houses today.
As per the damage assessment, relief in cash ranging from Rs 3000 to Rs 15, 000 was handed over by the area MLA and the NMC Chairman and Vice Chairman to the victims.
The area MLA, Binod Rai, was the chief guest for the programme, which was also attended by Chairman Namchi Municipal Council, BT Tamang, Vice Chairman, NH Ansari, Deputy Municipal Officer, Dushyant Pariyar and the Councillors of respective wards.
