MANGAN, 01 SEPT: The North District Volleyball Committee [NDVC] met today at the DRM office to make final preparations for the Open Volleyball Championship being organised by it at the Mangan Fire Service complex from 05 September onwards. The final match is scheduled to be played on 17 September coinciding with Biswakarma Puja.
The tournament trophies are being sponsored by Mangan Nagar Panchayat councillor PK Malu in the memory of his brother, Late Subash Malu, and cash prizes of Rs. 40,000 for the winners and Rs. 20,000 the runners-up are being sponsored by NDVC.
The meeting was attended by SDM Mangan, BK Lama, DSO (N), Janim Lepcha, MNP Councilor, PK Malu, and members of organizing committee.
