GANGTOK, 06 Sept: The first instalment of Rs. 50,000 each under the Chief Minister’s Rural Housing Mission (CMRHM) was handed over to 18 beneficiaries from Borong-Phamtam GPU by the area MLA [Barfung], Sonam Gyatso Bhutia, yesterday. Releasing the cheques, the MLA urged the beneficiaries to use the funds well and help Sikkim become a kutcha house free state by 2015 as envisaged by the ambitious scheme. He also urged the concerned panchayats and officials to monitor the construction works closely and assist the beneficiaries whenever required, informs a press communiqué received from Panchayat Inspector, Rabong BAC, Saptika Rai.
