JORETHANG, 20 June: Aprajita Rai was felicitated by the people of Zoom, where she hails from, for having made the area proud by clearing the UPSC exams for the civil services in her first attempt itself.
Since Ms. Rai is away in New Delhi, the felicitation was received by her uncle, Pawan Rai, on her behalf. The memento was handed over by the former Chairman, Rastaman Rai, today at Zoom Secondary School premises, in the presence of Zoom-Salghari MLA, Madan Cintury.
Speakers on the occasion highlighted that Ms. Rai’s achievement served as an inspiration for all the students across Sikkim to aim high and work hard.
