GANGTOK, 16 March: It was more touching moment for Tatsuki Shirai to join the candlelight vigil ‘Sikkim prays for Japan’ initiated by the Press Club of Sikkim to express solidarity towards tsunami victims in Japan last evening at Titanic Park.
Tatasuki is from Japan and presently enrolled at the Sikkim Government College under the Sikkim University.
Members from different organizations and local gentry of the capital joined the vigil.
Speaking to NOW! Tatsuki mentioned that this initiative has encouraged him very much by seeing many people have been praying for the people of Japan.
“This morning I sent an e-mail to my father to inform him about this initiative and he also felt very encouraged by seeing the concern of people here for Japan, he said.
He stated that this initiative was a touching moment for him and it would definitely help the people of Japan in an indirect way.
Tatasuki stated that he has been getting e-mails and messages from his friends from Sikkim and other countries expressing their concern and support for Japan.
Its a good thing that the people of Sikkim has come forward to express solidarity to the victims of earthquake and tsunami, all we can do is pray for them in order to get them through this massive ordeal...Odaijini you guys..
