MANGAN, 15 Feb: Zilla panchayat members of North District yesterday nominated Khamsoom Lepcha, the zilla panchayat representative elected from Chungthang, as the new North Zilla Adhakshya.
The nomination procedure was overseen by DM (N), TN Kazi who is also a Returning Officer and the programme was also attended by Up-Adhyaksha (N), PD Bhutia. 15 of the 20 Zilla members from the district supported the nomination.
Later, the DM officially declared Khamsoom Lepcha as the Zilla Adhyaksha (N).
