NAMCHI, 25 Feb: Yesterday, the second day of the Blossom Fest organized by the students of Namchi Government College, featured a dance competition as the main attraction. Five dance groups from all over the state participated. Three groups made it to the final round- CCCT dance group [Chisopani], BRSTP group [Namchi] and Slave of Dance group [Singtam].
A traditional fashion show by the students of the college, showcasing traditional wear of various communities of the state, was another highlight of the day.
While addressing the programme as the chief guest, the HRDD Minister, NK Pradhan, said that this step taken by the students of Namchi Government College was a praiseworthy one. Extending his support for the fest in coming years he further said that from next year this fest will be included in the tourism promotion programme of the government and organized in a grand manner. Later he visited the stalls of different communities displaying the culture and traditions of respective communities.
